What is liberation then?

Kripaluji Maharaj says that the desire for liberation is extremely undesirable.  On no account should you think of it. In our country, 99% of the chants say, “Lord, get me out of maya.  Give me liberation.” These poor people don’t know what liberation is. That's why they ask for it.  Only ask for selfless love. Liberation will come automatically. Why call it? One bhakt says, "We are drowned in Krishn's Divine love. What concern do we have with salty ocean water?" That means liberation is a salty ocean. Those Saints who are absorbed in Krishn's Divine love give up these four aims - dharm, arth, kam, and mokch as if they were a blade of grass. Hanuman says, “I don't want such a liberation where the feeling that You are my Master and I am Your servant is finished.”

So liberation is not just rejectable, it is very rejectable, it is the most rejectable. Understand it like this.  If you say that without liberation, the bonds of maya will remain, those will become bonds to Krishn. The bondage of the world will automatically go away. Furthermore, liberation is God's servant. When God becomes a servant of your love, then whatever is governed by Him will be yours.

Whether it's liberation or the celestial abodes or anything else, when God is under your control, then all His property becomes yours. What is liberation capable of? So a gyani's first requirement of being qualified is impossibly difficult. To follow that path is even more difficult. If he reaches the final stage of gyan, he will receive only atm-gyan (knowledge of the soul), not brahm gyan (knowledge of God).  Even if, with the Grace of God and after complete surrender, one attains brahm gyan, there is such a big difference between the Bliss of brahm gyan and the Bliss of Divine love that when King Janak saw Ram, he automatically forgot his brahm gyan.  He didn't try to forget; it happened automatically.

Sankadiks say this in the Ramayan. One kind of gyani is a pravritti parak brahm gyan (lives in the world), another kind is nivritti parak brahm gyani (renounced from the world). Janak lived in the world. He was a king, had queens and all the wealth. The Sankadiks were renounced from the world. They are also saying here that if anyone were to receive even the slightest trace of the Bliss of Divine love, then, he would give up his Bliss of brahm.  The Bliss of brahm is nothing before the Bliss of Divine love.

Divine loveis like the ocean and the Bliss of brahm is not even equal to a drop – there is that big a difference! That is why Brahma desires the footdust of the Gopis, Lord Shiv comes to raas in a female form, and Sankadik Paramhans are in ecstasy, Saints like Janak are in ecstasy. Shankaracharya, the greatest gyani of the age of kali, also strongly emphasizes that without Krishn bhakti, the heart can't be purified. What then to speak of knowledge of brahm, the soul or anything else? The first thing to do is purify the heart. Even that can't be done. For that one has to do Krishn bhakti.

Shankaracharya taught Krishn bhakti to his own mother and he himself also did Krishn bhakti. He said in many places, “Oh Krishn! Oh Shiv! Oh Durga!"  He said before all of them, "Please uplift me! Give me liberation!” In other words, liberation is attained only through the personal form of God.

According to Kripaluji Maharaj, listening to conversation about gyan is wrong. Thinking about it is also wrong.  Attaining it is just impossible. The path of bhakti is extremely easy. Prahlad is saying, “What difficulty is there in bhakti?” You don’t have to do anything. Do you have a mind? “Yes.” Do you love your mother, father, son, wife, and husband with that mind? “Yes.” Why do you do that? “Because my self-interest will be fulfilled and I will receive happiness.” Now understand that you won't receive anything from them. You will receive that only from God. “Alright, I understand. Now what should I do?”  There is nothing to do.  Understand this again and again: “He alone is mine, I will receive happiness only from Him”.  With just this, your mind will become attached. With that attachment your heart will purify. Then the work of your Guru and God lies ahead. They will Divinize your mind and give you Divine love. Then you will be freed from maya and your trigun, trikarm, tridosh, panchklesh, panchkosh will all end. For eternity you will be with God. You will experience the Bliss of God. There will be no confusion after that. Even if God sends you to earth, you will still be ever-Blissful in Krishn's Divine love.  Maya can't control you ever again.  When any seed is roasted, it becomes parched.  Then when it is planted in a field, it won’t sprout. Similarly, the soul is forever free.  In this way, this description of gyan has come to an end.
